Daily Contemplation
The means to an end.
A goal is the end you seek (any football, soccer or hockey player could tell you that). In goal setting you determine the means that will take you to that end. For the first forty years of my life the idea of goal setting didn’t set well with me.
I thought it took the creativity, spontaneity and fun out of dreaming. It took me awhile to figure out that charting my course actually encouraged creativity; it didn’t lessen spontaneity unless I let it; and it added to the fun because something actually got done! Prepare for tomorrow’s daily contemplation (setting a goal in place) by thinking about times when you’ve set goals. What resulted? Was the outcome a success? Were you resistant to the idea, as I once was?
