“I AM…” Affirmation Hypnosis Session FREE mp3…
I Am Thin, Healthy, Young and Beautiful…Or at Least I will be Soon!
I am a highly visual person and I tend to BELIEVE whatever it is that I see. What I have discovered over time is that I see only that which I BELIEVE. It’s a vicious cycle, and one that explains why for several decades I have looked into mirrors with hawkish eyes and have seen fat around my middle, and perhaps a little too much under my chin. If I brave a rear view I might notice a few rolls beneath my bra line and a couple of pasty buns that have fallen a bit.
Once I began to see that what I saw reflected what I believed, I diligently began the process of seeing through new eyes a better reality shaped by positive thoughts and beliefs. The processes began with the courage to discover and accept why it was I saw myself in such an unflattering light; it continued though diligent use of guided hypnosis, meditation, and affirmations; and ended with more joy, better coping skills, and permanent weight loss. My daily affirmations were key. Whenever I felt weak or vulnerable to my old habit thinking, I could instantly recite the new words and begin to shape new beliefs. For example, when I’d catch my boyfriend checking out Twiggy, I’d also catch myself negatively comparing my body to hers. I could stop myself, speak my new words, take a deep breath, and continue moving toward a better reality. Then I’d kick his shin…a knee-jerk reaction.
I began creating my affirmation by listing the things I wanted to see myself become more of, such as thin, kind, smart, etc. What I came up with and used for the first few months was: “I am thin, healthy, young and beautiful.” Once these thoughts and words began to become beliefs and, therefore, manifest, I chose other qualities in myself that I wanted to witness more of: “Smart, fun and loving.” Recently, after a decade of doing wonderful inspirational work that did not pay (an acceptance and abundance issue I am working through), I added: Successful, wealthy and wise.” When I’d speak the affirmation, I’d feel it, see it, emote it, as if it is real right now.
I love to speak my affirmation and put myself in the place of truly believing what I desire is real…right now …as if it has already happened. This accelerates manifestation and it simply feels fantastic! Why would I want to dwell on that perceived fat and feel miserable when I could instead dwell on my leaner, sexier body, the one that is inevitably on its way, bit by bit each day? Get it? Think only about the end picture, and recreate your life! When I do this I can literally feel the change happening within me! I feel grateful for it. I KNOW that is who I really am, and that is who I am in the process of becoming more of with each passing moment. I have been speaking my affirmation for a decade, and I am thin, healthy, forever young in heart, and beautiful in my own unique way. I have finally accepted that it is safe to be a smart woman, and I rather enjoy it. I especially enjoy being unapologetically fun and loving! I have come to accept these words as my truths, and they are true because I saw to it. I changed my beliefs in part through affirmation, and began to see my fabulous new truths manifest before my eyes.
Are you courageous enough to do what it takes to release old limiting beliefs and allow yourself to have the fabulous life you want? In addition to listening to guided hypnosis (I have some wonderfully relaxing and effective weight loss sessions available on my website), I suggest you write an affirmation today.
So get going!
- Decide what you want. The first step in creating a new reality through affirmations and visualizations is to decide what it is you truly want.. Do you want to be thinner, healthier, more generous, happier? Take a moment and imagine the details of your desires.
- Jot down some affirming thoughts and words. This may be uncomfortable at first, as your old unconscious belief systems kick in, resisting change. Don’t fret; you have held those false beliefs long enough so just thank them for trying to be of service, and tell them it is OK for you to think more positively now.
- Bravely and joyfully write your affirmation. Create a sentence short enough to remember and long enough to cover your list of desires. I like to create rhythm or patterns to help me remember it. Think of your affirmation as fluid; you can change it to serve you better as you evolve. What is important today is that you begin the processes of creating a positive belief system, and consequently a positive life.
- Speak your affirmation several times daily. Affirming your desires every five minutes would not be too much! As you speak the words, it is very important that they become REAL for you, that you get into the EMOTION of the new beliefs and reality you are in the process of creating as if it already is.
- Notice and celebrate each change, no matter how small, and as your desires begin to manifest, accept and be grateful for them. Discover the power thoughts and words have to create what you do want, just as they have created what you don’t want.
“I am thin, healthy, young and beautiful; smart fun and loving; successful, wealthy and wise!” and I embrace all of that which I am and am becoming! Enjoy the journey.
